Like Savana our aim is a world free from sexual violence. For Switch this means equipping our young people with the knowledge and the confidence to be the change.
We have a dedicated youth website full of information and resources to support young people.
We provide 1:1 support called The Mix where young people, the referrer and our Switch team create a bespoke program of support by selecting up to 6 workshops that best meet the young person’s needs, this includes:
We provide 1:1 counselling in schools for children and young people who have been impacted by any of the areas above.
We also assess any young person who has displayed harmful sexualised behaviour using the Aim 3 assessment tool. We can then provide or sign post to appropriate support.
Where funding allows, we provide this support free of charge. A member of the Switch team will base themselves in your school one day a week.
As this is a funded project our team are in demand. If you are able to fund a team member in your school, please get in touch.
For our support to be effective we need a room within school that is a safe, confidential space. We need a good working relationship with a member of staff who will be responsible for pupil referrals, obtaining parental consent and be a point of contact should any concerns or safe-guarding issues arise.
We provide the rest! Knowledge and expertise, all the resources and equipment. We will provide you with digital referral forms, SOS cards to share will all pupils (not just those accessing our workshops) and a Switch pack with all of our policies, procedures and contact information.
